Oceania Gloves

OCEANIA GLOVES

Before we begin describing our products, let's explain the terminology we use.
By "OCEANIA GLOVES," we mean gloves with a silicone cuff.
By "OCEANIA GLOVES SHORT," or simply the "SHORT" version, we mean gloves with a TPE cuff.
Based on the cuff material, the products are designed for customers who use wetsuits or drysuites.
"OCEANIA GLOVES" are designed for wetsuit users and can also be used by drysuite divers.
"OCEANIA GLOVES SHORT" are designed for drysuite users in all sectors.
Why this distinction? Oceania gloves are extremely comfortable. They offer great grip and warmth, but only if waterproofness is guaranteed.
In the "WATERPROOF" section, we explain the difference between the two product lines.

WATERPROOF

OCEANIA GLOVES: The long silicone cuff is specifically designed for contact with human skin. The fit is perfect for all forearms without cutting off circulation, and you can wear them for hours without any problems. This prevents water from entering for extended periods, even during wetsuit activities. However, the silicone used is very soft and must be protected by the wetsuit.

OCEANIA GLOVES SHORT: The TPE cuff is slightly shorter and thinner, creating less contact with the skin even with the use of the "anti-splash" system. Additionally, for thinner forearms, the fit may be too loose to prevent water from entering. For very muscular and thick forearms, it may be necessary to adjust the cuffs to a linear cut, which is very difficult to achieve to prevent water from entering. The cuffs are shorter and more durable, offering easier installation over the cuffs of a drysuit.

GLOVES MODEL

ORCA(SHORT): It is the only lined glove of the Oceania models and certainly the warmest. It is made of latex with a sandblasting on the palm that gives it an extraordinary grip. It has a nylon fiber with acrylic lining. It is very soft and can be used with an underglove.
The Orca is certainly an exceptional glove but it tends to wear out before the other models and this does not make it suitable for Diving. But it is definitely a glove to buy for those who do Kite, Wing, Wind and Kayak at temperatures close to 0 degrees. Only in the Plus version can it be used for surfing

PLUS:The Plus version with the neoprene lining extends the glove's waterproofing duration and reduces wear.

DOLPHIN PLUS: Made of polyester fiber with a latex coating and a sandblasted latex palm. Its unique polyester weave and latex make it the warmest of the unlined Oceania gloves, the one with the best grip and the softest. Due to its tight fit, an underglove is not recommended. It is definitely the best glove for the most demanding athletes who practice wingfoiling, windsurfing, and kitesurfing.

LEOPARD SHARK (SHORT): It is certainly the most eclectic glove of the Oceania models. It is made of latex with a sandy latex coating on the palm that gives it an excellent grip. The fiber is polyester. It is a very thin and soft glove and below 8 degrees (approximately) you need the under glove. It is a glove that can be used for all activities.

PLUS: the Plus version with neoprene lining increases its thermal insulation and waterproofness.

RED FISH(SHORT): It is made of nitrile with a sandy coating on the palm that gives it grip. The fiber is polyester. Nitrile is slightly more rigid than latex and the underglove can only be used if you have thin hands because the latex is less elastic. Below 8 degrees (approximately) you need the underglove. It is a glove suitable for sailing and canyoning, diving but can also be used for board sports (even if the latex models are preferable).

PLUS: the Plus version with neoprene lining increases its thermal insulation and waterproofness.

UNDERGLOVE

We offer two types of undergloves in our catalog. FLEXITOG FG400N and the SIX2 which is slightly thinner, warmer, and provides a better grip, especially for hands with large fingers. The SIX2 also has shorter cuffs, making it a better fit for the Oceania Gloves.
